South Park Review

South park for n64 is a first person shooter. I remember playing it fondly at friends when I was younger.

Playing now I realise it was more due to the fart jokes. It's humour is incredibly juvenile and makes family guy look sophisticated.

the story goes that a comment is headed towards south park causing so many crazy events to happen. Such as killer turkeys and clones.

You play as the four boys as you fight through hordes and hordes of enemies, and I mean hordes. Thankfully there is a lot of variation within the enemies ranks. With tanks and bosses being fun and enjoyable to see. Shooting a massive turkey in the ass is amusing, juvenile but amusing.

Acclaim and iguana did a great job creating a new batch of guns with the imagination that made turok fun. Such as the cow launcher.

The problem is the game play is boring and repetitive. With annoying platforming sections. It feels at times that south park couldn't decide if wanted to cash in on the new console fps trend or the new 3d platforming one. But ends up fucking up.

Finally the sound design, it will kill your ears and drive you mad from the first level. The turkey gobble is so repetitive you'll either turn it off or play music to drown it out.
