Donkey kong country was released on the super nintendo back in 1994 with much applause, it also got a rerelease on the gameboy colour in 2000.
Which one is better? I'll be looking at graphics, musuc and gameplay.
graphically it's obviously the super nintendo version. Yes the gameboy colour version is graphically impressive for the gameboy colour but so many enemies are hard to see with the back grounds. This become even more troublesome on levels that are dark and famous for being difficult on the super nintendo.
The music is beautiful on both console versions. Its best done on the game boy it uses the hard ware brilliantly. The music is catchy and upbeat. Setting the tone for both versions.
Gameplay is by far better on the super nintendo version. With the enemies blending into the background, killing you off screen or the constant collision detection issues. The Super Nintendo version is Champagne to the game boy colours cava. Though both versions are fun but if you played the super nintendo version first all the problems of the game boy colour version are exagerated.
This win goes to super nintendo!
